On Friday, 13 April, I had the pleasure of being hosted by the Eucerin team for their media launch and high tea at The Maslow. As I entered the conference venue, I was greeted by branding which clearly communicated “usingaye”, as we would say in Zulu, which was the Eucerin DermoPURIFYER range. Although I’ve never had acne, I found it important I share the information I’ve learned. With 13 400 reported internet searches in South Africa on acne per month, it’s evident such a product is needed in the market.
The launch kick started with presentations and a scientific talk by Dr M. Reinholz. Dr Reinholz has completed his doctoral thesis in the devision in Clinical Pharmacology and now specializes as a dermatologist, has his own scientific working group and is also a lecturer. Trust me, this was all evident as he delivered an enlightening presentation. The presentation gave a better understanding of the different types of acne that exists, as well as the development stages to acne.
The most important thing to know about acne is the fact that it is an inflammatory disease, and so an anti inflammation molecule to help manage inflammation is one of the major keys to fighting against acne. The DermoPURIFYER range does just that by managing inflammation at every stage of acne.
About the DermoPURIFYER range
The DermoPURIFYER range has undergone a make over in the form of new packaging, as well as an improved new formula to work more effectively. The range is said to help clear the skin of acne as well as any dead skin cells, which ultimately births new skin and lightens scaring. The DermoPURIFYER range offers the full package to fit your cleansing, toning and scrubbing routine.
What I also learned during the session was that your diet isn’t the only contributing factor to acne, nor has it been proven to be the highest contributing factor. It’s also important that you consult a Dr for professional advice and treat your acne through its stages and thereafter look to treating any scaring it may have caused. Clinical studies are said to have shown a visible improvement of skin after 4 to 12 weeks of consistent use of the appropriate products.
