Some days are better than others. And on the good days, everything is always smooth sailing. However, it’s the bad days which you so happen to have so much to do and so little time! So, I got to looking up some simple beauty hacks on the internet to help my fellow sisters out with this life thing. One of my biggest struggles is applying nail polish. It’s either I get the application right but am far too impatient and end up smudging it all. Or, I remember in the last minute I have to look cute and do a terribly messy job. Some nail polishes now dry quite quickly and some simply don’t. If you’re as bad at the nail polish game and as impatient as me , here’s a beauty hack you might appreciate. I personally have found myself in safe hands with the LCN Quick Dryer right after applying nail polish on my nails and this helps my nails dry much faster.

“If you have no quick-dry products lying around, dip your painted nails in a bowl of ice-cold water to help them dry faster. It really works!”—Michell Phan, YouTube vlogger

Another frustrating part of applying nail polish are the stains left on your skin around the nail. Well, you don’t have to worry about scrubbing off the polish once done anymore. I have been using the LCN Corrector and it’s basically the best assistant for that perfect polish application as the pen absorbs polish application errors. Upon purchase, the pen includes 3 replacement tips so it’s quite durable and it’s compact enough for your handbag!

“I rub olive oil around my nails before I embark on a nail-art design. It makes removing excess polish way easier.”—Taryn Multack, Miss LadyFinger

Another terrible habit I have – because I hate the nail polish application process – is simply add another coat of nail polish where it’s chipped. I know I know, it all ends up looking tacky and bumpy. Hahaha, see I found the solution… simply add a bit of sparkle!

“Unlike regular lacquer, the glittery kind is supposed to look sort of uneven, so it’s great for fix-it situations. When a nail chips, instead of removing all my polish and starting over, I’ll just slap on a coat of sparkle over my current color. And when I (inevitably) get another chip, I paint on a little more. You can keep a manicure going indefinitely!”—Alyssa Hertzig, The Sparkly Life

Matte lipstick and matte nails are quite a thing in fashion right now. Whether you’re going for a day or night look, they work for any occasion. I know for sure you can purchase matte nail polish, but here’s a home DIY trick if you’re feeling a little crafty.

“If I’m making soup or boiling pasta, I’ll put on two quick coats of nail polish. While they’re still wet, I’ll hold my nails for three seconds over the steam coming from the simmering food, keeping them about 5 inches above the water. Then I watch the magic happen: My glossy painted nails turn matte-sexy.”—Michelle Phan

When it comes to eye liner, the winged eye and cat eye are my biggest challenges. Yes, there is a difference between the two. I simply can’t get the shape right nor can I keep my hand steady and get things done with just one swipe.

“I have the least steady hands on the planet, but I love the way my eyes look when they’re tightly lined. I’ve learned to hold a liquid-liner marker pen horizontally, so I’m using the broader side of the tip instead of the fine point, and press it into my lash line. This way I can line my eyes in three to four quick stamps instead of trying to draw a straight line—which is nearly impossible!”—Lara Ramos, The Glossarie

I recently got into numerous conversations just simply trying to figure out what the working formula could possibly be. And because I have been wearing make up a lot more – trying to learn this face best thing – I really have to take extra care of my skin. My number one rule is to never sleep with make up on, and so I don’t! After using a make-up remover, my cousin suggested I also use some baby oil…

“After I douse a cotton pad with my regular makeup remover, I add a bit of coconut oil and apply it to my closed eye. It helps break up the makeup, so it slides off with more ease.”—Julie Gutierrez, YouTube vlogger

No one deserves ashy anything! Ashy hands, ashy legs… none of it! I know this is definitely a beauty trick done during photo shoots but hey, why not apply it to everyday life?!

Any beauty hacks you have to share with me? I’d love to hear from you! 🙂
